In Telegram, I reported a total of 40 bugs; here are some of them to demonstrate the approach and the outcome.
№5: Identified a UX/UI Bug
Description
During the recording of a voice message, a critical bug occurred when an iOS system notification about low battery (20%) was triggered. At the moment the system pop-up appeared, the recording continued, but after closing it, the app malfunctioned:

  • The send button became inactive, and it was no longer possible to send the recorded voice message;

  • At the same time, the interface layout was disrupted (the input panel design shifted).
Result
  • Received feedback from a Telegram employee:
“Oh, thanks, I’ll pass it on. 👌”

Description
  • I discovered that it was impossible to delete a created group (the delete button was missing entirely).
Result

Description
  • When displaying forwarded messages with media, a layout bug occurred: the image block overlapped interface elements. Visually, the picture “slid” out of place, breaking the integrity and consistency of the layout.

Description
  • In Telegram, when displaying a link preview with an icon (favicon/website logo), a UI conflict occurred: the logo element overlapped the message timestamp.

  • As a result, the interface readability was compromised and access to the sending time was disrupted.
